Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essentially a range of item you can wear that will protect you against various hazardous conditions. PPE is important because it prepares you for health and safety risks and gives you extra protection in the event of an accident or against the elements.

Think of PPE as a support system of sorts for the work the employees’ job requires them to do. It may be more physically demanding or slightly more hazardous than the average desk job, but the equipment is provided to make the employee feel safer and can protect them when a risk occurs.
