Compiling Health and Safety Specifications

Presenting the Health and Safety Specifications to be considered when formulating their design to the designers, and to form part of the documentation pack to be issued to each Tenderer for the Project.

Incident Investigation

Comprehensive investigation of an incident to determine root causes, and make recommendations to control or eliminate the risk of reoccurrence, as well as submission of reports to the Department of Labour.

Presenting the Project Baseline Risk Assessment to be considered when formulating their design to the designers, and to form part of the documentation pack to be issued to each Tenderer for the Project.

Full Operational Inspection

We conduct full Operational Inspections and Building Assessments on existing buildings, warehouses and shopping centres. This includes the inspection of:
1. Lifts, escalators and hoists.
2. Installed rational design for the fire installation with evacuation procedure.
3. The general use of the building.
4. General evaluation of the building’s structure.
5. The general safe use of the electrical installation.
6. Accessibility Compliance Audits.
7. Contractor and supplier vetting.
8. Legal compliance auditing and GAP analysis.
9. Pre-occupation Risk Assessments.

Emergency Preparedness

Cairnmead conducts fire drills, evaluations, physical inspections of buildings/premises and detailed reports as well as meeting with Operational Management to determine special needs and conditions, in order to compile an Emergency Preparedness Report and Emergency Preparedness Procedures. We also provide emergency preparedness equipment to meet specific needs of the clients.

Evacuation Diagrams

Cairnmead provides Evacuation Diagrams in addition to the Emergency Preparedness Procedures. This is to inform occupants of the building/ premises of emergency exits, fire equipment and emergency assembly points. These Evacuation Diagrams also indicate who to call in the event of an emergency.
